Histology and Histopathology
VM Library
The micro library platform focused on the collection of slides of human organs and basic diseases, including slide annotations, serving as a valuable resource for medical education and research. By offering such a platform, medical students, researchers, and healthcare professionals can enhance their understanding of histology and histopathology, improving their diagnostic skills and knowledge of human organ systems and diseases. Additionally, the platform facilitates remote access and collaboration, enabling users to study, discuss, and share slide annotations, fostering a collaborative learning environment. |
The VM Library offer a large collection of 287 slides of normal and pathological human tissues and basic diseases (including Slide annotations) as an application of VM in histology and histopathology, useful both for teaching staff but also for undergraduate and postgraduate students.
For the first time on the VM Library, please register. The Library access is free.
Methodology of production of the VM slides
It is imperative that medical students become familiar and proficient in the VM system applications. Thus, the project is addressing the need for students’ skills improvement in morphological sciences. This project establish a dynamic virtual microscopy educational system in response to the need to increase the digital transformation of the educational systems. As a consequence, the implementation of this new technology is contributing to innovation in vocational education and training in Medical schools/universities.
Training sessions
Training session in the use of the VM library organized in each of the project countries, Romania, Poland, Greece, Spain and Bulgaria, with over 113 teaching staff members.
